AlphaPoint reshuffles executive board

AlphaPoint, a leading global provider of asset tokenization software and digital trading technology founded in 2013, announced the appointment of President Igor Telyatnikov to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Joe Ventura, Chief Technology Officer will become Chief Information Officer and Kapil Rathi, Global Head of Trading will become Chief Operating Officer. Both Joe Ventura and Kapil Rathi will report to Igor Telyatnikov.

Igor is a founding member of AlphaPoint and has held multiple senior leadership positions within the company, including President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to the appointment, Igor was responsible for overseeing AlphaPoint’s business strategy, customer success and revenue growth. Igor’s leadership helped AlphaPoint become a major player in the blockchain industry powering digital asset marketplaces and tokenization platforms in 35 countries with billions of dollars in transactional volume.

Prior to helping found AlphaPoint, Igor served as Managing Director of Cvetlo, an early stage venture firm making investments in fintech, adtech, and online media firms. He also led business development at LiftDNA, a digital ad exchange platform that provided over 10 billion ad price predictions per month and was later acquired by OpenX, a global leader in digital and mobile advertising. Prior to LiftDNA and OpenX, Igor drove the adoption of new security technologies through multiple roles at Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, (now Allegion (NYSE: ALLE)), a leading global manufacturer of security and safety solutions. 

Salil Donde, former CEO, will assume the role of strategic advisor to the company. “With a strong leadership team in place, it is now time for the next generation of leaders to lead the next wave of growth. Under Igor’s leadership and ability to capitalize on market opportunities, AlphaPoint looks forward to the next phase of anticipated growth”, said Salil Donde. Salil joined AlphaPoint as an advisor before becoming CEO in 2017 and is now moving back into an advisor capacity in a planned transition.

Former CTO Joe Ventura has assumed the role of Chief Information Officer role. As AlphaPoint’s founder, a technology visionary and strategist, Joe is a driving force behind the company’s expanding product offerings. He has a proven track record in developing and deploying leading-edge technology and is well positioned to guide AlphaPoint into the next stage of growth. Joe brings with him over 20 years of experience in software architecture, execution, and management. Throughout his career, Joe successfully created and deployed many complex and scalable enterprise platforms used by major financial institutions including Deutsche Bank, UBS, Merrill Lynch, NYSE, NASDAQ, CME, CBOT, NYMEX, and COMEX. 

In addition, former Global Head of Trading, Kapil Rathi has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Kapil will oversee day to day operation of the company and will assume oversight of product strategy, marketing, professional services, partnership and account management divisions. Since joining AlphaPoint in 2018, Kapil has played an instrumental role in growing AlphaPoint’s white-label exchange technology business. A capital market and exchange industry veteran, Kapil has led multiple exchange innovations during his 15 years of career on Wall Street. Prior to joining AlphaPoint, Kapil was Head of Equity Options at Cboe where he managed the largest equity options business in the United States. Before Cboe, Kapil oversaw the turnaround of options business at Bats Global Markets where he led the launch of a new Options Exchange ‘EDGX Options’. Earlier, Kapil held product and technology leadership roles at International Securities Exchange (ISE), New York Stock Exchange, and AT&T.
