Former HSBC chief information security officer Alison Vincent joins Cybertonica as technical advisor

Cybertonica, on the list of Europe’s top innovative growth firms using ML and AI in FinTech and payment risk prevention, has appointed Alison Vincent, PhD to the role of Technical Advisor to the Senior Management Team and the Board.

The news comes alongside Cybertonica’s recent product launch of ScreenWiZe, a behavioural and biometric-driven risk sensor working on mobile devices and touchscreens that makes fraud, credit and authentication scores more relevant for e-merchants and payment tech applications.

Dr. Alison Vincent is a thought leader with 30 years experience in global businesses at senior level positions in Cisco, HSBC, NDS, Micro Focus and IBM. Most recently she was the Group Chief Information Security Officer at HSBC, responsible for the Global IT Cyber Security Strategy and Implementation. Her roles span experience in risk, R&D, strategy execution, product management and business development. She has led digital strategy, innovation and mergers and acquisitions in corporate innovation.

One of the Top 50 Influential Women in UK IT in 2017, Alison has frequently appeared in the media and is an active blogger and influencer on Twitter (@draliv). She holds a PhD in Cryptography from London University and a 1st Class honours BSc in Maths and Computer Science. She is a Fellow of the British Computer Society.

Joining Cybertonica, Dr. Alison Vincent will be responsible for building the senior team with CEO Joshua Bower-Saul, and working with CTO Sergey Velts, key management and the Board, as Cybertonica closes its current £2m round of financing and enters exponential growth. Alison is committed to diversity in tech and will also help drive the Company’s agenda on bringing women into tech roles.
