Mondas appoints Peter Waller non-executive chairman

Mondas announces that, Peter Charles Waller, aged 59, was appointed as a director and non-executive chairman of the Company yesterday.

Mr Waller brings to Mondas a wealth of experience at a senior executive level from a 30-year career in the software and services sector. His executive positions in the IT sector include several senior positions in IBM UK and IBM Europe, managing director of Hitachi Data Systems UK and executive vice-president of Hitachi Data Systems Europe.

He is also the non-executive chairman of four private companies, MI International Limited, Quillion Limited, Keypoint Technologies Limited and Blue Curve Limited (a company which was acquired by Mondas earlier this month) and a non-executive director of Biotrace International plc, whose shares are fully listed.

In the past five years, he has been a director of Xpertise plc and Ives Development Limited.

Mr Waller holds 100,000 ordinary shares in Mondas, subscribed in the placing carried out in December, 2005.

Mr Waller has confirmed that there is no further information required to be disclosed under paragraph 17 of the AIM Rules.

Colin Peters, who became chairman in August 2004, has stepped down from the position of chairman but will remain on the board as a non-executive director. The board would like to thank him for his efforts as chairman of the Company.
