Nasdaq appoints Randall Hopkins VP, market data distribution

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq: NDAQ) today announced the appointment of Randall Hopkins as Vice President of NASDAQ Market Data Distribution within the NASDAQ Data Products Division.

The Data Products Division maintains and prepares for distribution all market data disseminated to the public and creates new data products to serve the industry's information needs. In this position, Mr. Hopkins will be responsible for the creation and dissemination of valuable information from the quoting and trading of securities.

Mr. Hopkins will report to Adena Friedman, Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Data Products. Mr. Hopkins is currently Senior Sales Director of Market Data Distribution and plays an instrumental role in the distribution of NASDAQ's premier data products, including TotalView(SM). Since TotalView's inception in 2003, Randall has worked with the data distribution team to improve the product and increase sales.

We are confident he will help enhance NASDAQ's existing reputation as the most trusted source of market information available."

Beginning January 23, Mr. Hopkins will oversee the Market Data Distribution department and assume responsibility for NASDAQ's real-time and historical market data feed products, including continuing sales efforts for TotalView and OpenView, as well as bringing new data products to market. Additionally, Mr. Hopkins will serve on the Unlisted Trading Privileges Plan's Operating Committee as NASDAQ's senior representative.
