Peppercoin names advisory board members

Peppercoin, a payments technology company that enables profitable new business models for low-priced digital content and physical goods, today announced that five prominent industry leaders have joined its newly established Advisory Board.

Initial members include Robert Buoniconti, Robert Kiburz, Bernard Morvant, Steve Mott and David Douglas Stone, who offer their combined expertise from American Express, Chase Merchant Services, First Data, Ingenico, I4 Commerce, MasterCard and Visa. This group of industry experts will lend their insight and lead focused initiatives to help Peppercoin further its rapid expansion in the financial services market, and will offer guidance for overall product and company development.

The Advisory Board is comprised of the following industry experts:

Robert Buoniconti, Consultant - Buoniconti has been a senior and widely respected payments executive in the financial services industry with companies such as Chase Paymentech Solutions and First Data Merchant Services. Most recently, he was with I4 Commerce, where he helped implement national relationships with acquirers such as Chase Paymentech Solutions, First National Merchant Services, First Data Merchant Services and Fifth Third Bank.

Robert Kiburz, Advisor - Kiburz has more than 30 years of experience leading companies to product and financial success. He previously held an executive position at Lucent, leading its Billing and Customer Care unit. Kiburz has served as Peppercoin's president and CEO. He currently consults with early stage ventures in the Boston area and volunteers as a mentor in Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Venture Mentoring Service.

Bernard Morvant, Advisor - For the last 20 years, Morvant has led smart card and financial services projects, managing stored value, low value payment, EMV and loyalty initiatives around the world. Recognized as an industry expert, he has had professional relationships with Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express and EMVco. Most recently, he served as a vice president for Ingenico where he led business development.

Steve Mott, Principal of BetterBuyDesign - Mott is a 20-year veteran of the electronic payments industry with specialization in online transactions, innovative use of debit networks, authentication and security technologies, and consumer adoption strategies. Mott advises clients such as major banks and processors, technology startups and investment capital/equity firms, in strategy and business development, technology assessments, project management and evaluations. He is a noted speaker and author in the payments space.

David Douglas Stone, President of Smart Payment Systems - Stone has more than 20 years of general management, senior marketing, technology and new business development experience in Fortune 500 and emerging growth companies, with a strong emphasis in innovative payment systems at companies such as American Express and ERG Group, a leader in the development and deployment of smart card systems and innovative transit systems.
