EY welcomes five new innovation-focused banking partners

Since the start of 2018, EY has hired five new financial services partners as it continues to build out its UK tech and innovation capabilities in the Cloud, advanced data and analytics, robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) space.

Olivier Colinet, Partner and Head of Cloud, EY Financial Services
Olivier Colinet joins EY from Google where he spent twelve years and was a founding Executive member of the Google Cloud team and their acting Chief Technology Officer in EMEA. In his new role as EY’s Head of Cloud for UK Financial Services, Olivier will focus on advising financial services clients on cloud transformation, a key area of growth, building on the great work of the 200 strong EY Data and Analytics team.

Debraj Dutta, Partner in EY’s Financial Services Data and Analytics team
Debraj Dutta joins EY’s data and analytics team from Accenture, where he was instrumental in setting up and scaling their Robotics Process Automation (RPA) technology advisory practice in the UK. Debraj has over twenty years of experience in building new technology delivery capabilities, setting up global practices and driving sales and will be focused on RPA at EY.

Michael Elysee, Partner in EY’s Financial Services IT Risk Assurance team
Michael Elysee has joined EY’s IT Risk Assurance team from KPMG where he spent over 25 years in a number of client leadership, innovation and practice management roles in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMA) region and globally. Michael will help drive EY’s engagement with the insurance and wealth and asset management sectors and will lead its IT internal audit solution.

Anita Kimber, Partner and Head of Digital and Innovation, EY Financial Services
Anita Kimber re-joins EY to lead the financial services digital and innovation go-to-market offerings. Anita joins from Nationwide Building Society where she was driving the Open Banking and innovation agendas. Prior to that Anita was a Partner in EY Asia Pacific and has also had leadership roles in IBM and PwC.

Jason McLean, Partner and Technology Solutions Leader, EY Financial Services
Jason McLean joins EY in the UK from EY Australia to lead the build out of the financial services technology capability. In Australia, Jason was a Partner in EY’s Advisory practice, a member of the Financial Services Leadership team in Oceania and sat on the APAC Leadership team. Jason has over 20 years’ experience advising Boards and Executive teams across the financial services sector on business strategy, digital programs and organisational restructures to deliver growth targets and operational efficiencies.

Other recent UK technology partner hires include Adrian Joseph, who joined EY last year from Google as Head of AI, and Tal Mozes, who joined the UK team from EY Israel. In 2011 EY acquired Hacktics, the cyber security company Tal owned and co-founded.
