Relegence opens European HQ in London; names Parr sales VP, Barton account manager

The Relegence Corporation, the de-facto provider of real-time automated intelligence to the financial services industry, today announced its expansion into EMEA with the launch of its European headquarters, in London.

To spearhead the new office, Relegence has appointed two experienced executives: Joanna Parr, vice president sales and Katharine Barton, account manager, EMEA. Barton and Parr are located at: 16-18 Monument Street, London, EC3R 8PD.

Joanna Parr, a former UK and European director at NewsEdge Corporation (acquired by Thomson Financial), brings to Relegence over 10-years information industry experience, predominantly in knowledge management and information distribution in the financial and pharmaceutical sectors. Additionally, Parr has held sales and marketing roles at Thomson Financial, MAID and Dialog Corporation. Parr is responsible for driving new business opportunities in EMEA along with securing strategic partners for Relegence with key information organisations.

Katharine Barton most recently held the role of global product manager for technical analysis at Telerate. Prior to Telerate, Barton held client facing roles at Bridge and ADP. With over nine years financial services experience, Barton is well equipped for her role at Relegence. The role will encompass: day-to-day account management, generating product and company awareness and sales training.
