First Data Corp. (NYSE:FDC), a global leader in electronic commerce and payment services, announced today that Ed Labry, president of the company's Prepaid Services, will assume additional responsibility for leading First Data's Domestic Merchant Services business.

The company also announced today that following a 60-day transition period, Scott Betts, president of Domestic Enterprise Payments, will depart the company.

Prior to his appointment as president of Prepaid Services in 2005, Labry had responsibility for large merchant initiatives and advising the organization on new point-of-sale opportunities. Previously, Labry was president of Concord EFS, Inc., a high-growth processing company, acquired by First Data in 2004.

Chairman and CEO Ric Duques stated, "I am confident that Ed, with his long and successful leadership in building Concord, has the expertise to further grow and expand our merchant business.

"I also want to take this opportunity to thank Scott for his hard work and dedication to driving results within the business. I appreciate his willingness to stay on for the next few months to ensure a smooth and seamless transition."
