Having worked with the Etheios Group in an advisory capacity over the past six months, Philip Painter has now joined the Etheios Group as a Principal Consultant and Director of Global Custody Practice.
Philip has over 25 years experience in the global custody industry working for both UK and US domiciled companies. Most recently Philip was Director and Head of Custody at Schroder Investment Management, which was the last Fund Management Company to retain a fully independent global custody function with £60 billion of worldwide assets held in 43 countries.
Prior to Schroders, Philip held Senior Management roles at S. G. Warburg, Citibank and Chase Manhattan Bank, where he managed a part of the operational relocation of staff and infrastructure from London to the new operations site in Bournemouth. Philip also spent some time in the United States for Chase, project managing new work-flows between New York, London and Bournemouth. Philip's career started at National Westminster Bank.
Philip has participated in a number of CREST Working Groups on Proxy Voting and Gilts/CMO into CREST. He has presented as a speaker at industry conferences and sat on a number of industry round tables. He has been an active member of the BBA (British Bankers' Association) and ISG (Institutional Settlements Group) and he is currently a Director and Board member of SIMA (Securities Industry Management Association).
