Mitek appoints Hendrikse as Emea MD

Mitek, a global leader in mobile capture and identity verification software solutions, today announced the appointment of SaaS industry veteran René Hendrikse as Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA.

René has been appointed to accelerate Mitek's growth in Europe and bring its market-leading mobile identity verification solutions to new vertical markets.

René’s experience lies in bringing innovative technology to the European market and helping businesses to increase market share and grow revenue. Prior to Mitek, he was Managing Director in EMEA for Lilee Systems, provider of advanced wireless communication solutions in industrial IoT and an emerging innovator in cloud-based network solutions. Before that he was Head of Global Sales for iPass, a cloud-based service that provides customers access to the world’s largest Wi-Fi network.

Mitek’s flagship product in EMEA is Mobile Verify®, a solution that verifies identity using a smartphone or tablet camera to check the authenticity of ID documents, performs facial comparison, and links the customer to the ID. The information gathered when verifying an ID can also be used to pre-fill forms, making account opening and onboarding painless, and ensure payments are compliant with regulations. Mobile Verify uses machine-learning technology, built on experience gained from ID document experts from Interpol and military intelligence, to give it the very best intelligence on identity document forgery, with AI that can respond to ever-changing fraud techniques.
