NYMBUS, the core banking modernization company, today announced three executive appointments and the opening of a center of strategic excellence.
To create the culture and build the teams needed to sustain and grow this new location, NYMBUS appointed Ms. Anne Miela as senior vice president, operations; Mr. Jan Frymyer as senior vice president, client services; and Mr. Richard D. Lang as general counsel.
Ms. Miela brings more than 20 years of experience to NYMBUS. Previously, Ms. Miela was a vice president at Open Solutions/Fiserv, where she oversaw the implementation and professional services organizations of the company’s DNA platform. In recent years, she led a team that executed more than 110 successful core conversions and received the GonzoBanker Award for Conversion of the Year in both 2015 and 2016.
With more than 30 years of financial services experience, Mr. Frymyer most recently led the project management office at Fiserv, responsible for managing the implementation of the company’s core and ancillary product lines. Prior to that role, Mr. Frymyer was responsible for leading global client services at Open Solutions/Fiserv overseeing the service, training and implementation teams.
NYMBUS also appointed Mr. Richard D. Lang, a founding partner at Baldini Lang LLC, as the company’s general counsel. Mr. Lang has more than 25 years of executive-level domestic and international legal, compliance and ethics experience in the financial services industry. Prior to forming Baldini Lang LLC, Mr. Lang was the chief ethics officer for HSBC Bank USA and the acting general counsel and chief compliance officer for Open Solutions Inc. until its acquisition by Fiserv.
“We couldn’t be more delighted about having such a talented and experienced team join NYMBUS,” said David Mitchell, president at NYMBUS. “We’re realizing phenomenal growth of our core banking platform and adding additional talented leadership will allow us to strengthen our efforts around helping clients implement more efficient operations while providing the most modern digital experiences for their customers and members. We cannot overstate how these significant upgrades in operations with the brightest talent, who have built large world-class enterprise software companies, will ultimately allow us to execute on our vision of operational excellence and client success.”
The newly appointed team will be based in NYMBUS’ new Glastonbury, Connecticut office, which serves as the company’s center of strategic excellence, with an emphasis on the company’s Operations, Client Service, Product Development, Legal, and Compliance organizational functions.
NYMBUS’ management appointments follow news of the company closing an additional $16 million funding round to continue its accelerated expansion plans and its SmartCore platform most recently being selected by Surety Bank and Kaiperm Diablo Federal Credit Union to drive their digital customer growth and provide competitive differentiation to compete with large money center banks and non-traditional financial product providers that offer payments and loans like PayPal, Square and others.
