TietoEnator is further aligning its organizational structure to support its twofold strategy: to focus on organic growth and internationalization in selected vertical businesses, and on the other hand to improve operational efficiency. All organizational changes and appointments are effective 1 January 2006.

The vertical businesses with the highest targets for international growth are banking, telecom, healthcare, forest and energy. Now two of these businesses, forest and energy, which have been part of the Production & Logistics business area, will be combined into a new business area: Forest & Energy. Forest & Energy has operations in seven European countries as well as in the USA, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, China and Malesia. It had EUR 111 million of net sales in the first nine months of 2005 and employed 1 236 people at the end of September 2005. Mr Carl-Harald Andersson (49), MSc (Eng.) and the current head of the Telecom R&D business unit, has been appointed President of Forest & Energy.

The other two vertical businesses of Production & Logistics, namely Manufacturing and Retail & Logistics, will form together with Government a new business area called Government, Manufacturing & Retail. The targets of that business area are to develop a strong market position in the Baltic Rim area, to further develop key customer strategies and to improve profitability. Government, Manufacturing & Retail has operations in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia and Latvia. It had EUR 170 million of net sales in the first nine months of 2005 and employed 1 947 people at the end of September. Ms Anja Vainio (52), MSc (Math.) and the current President of the Government business area has been appointed President of Government, Manufacturing & Retail.

The Presidents of the other four business areas will continue in their existing positions: Jukka Rosenberg (Banking & Insurance), Ari Vanhanen (Telecom & Media), Carl-Johan Lindfors (Healthcare & Welfare) and Ari Karppinen (Processing & Network).

Mr Pentti Huusko (57), MSc (Computer Sc.) and the current President of Production & Logistics has been appointed Senior Vice President, Operational Excellence. Mr Huusko's main responsibility is to improve the operational efficiency of the Group, which includes functions like global sourcing, process development, purchasing and vendor management, technical infrastructure and applications, and centralized administrative services (Business Support Unit and HR centre).

Mr Pekka Viljakainen (33), currently responsible for Strategic Customer Management has been appointed Senior Vice President, Strategic Customer Operations. This means that besides the Strategic Customer Programme his responsibilities will extend to include the development of the Group's strategic offering, strategic marketing and the newly established Executive Advisors unit. Further, Mr Viljakainen will be nominated President of Digital Innovations. Mr Martin Nyman, currently responsible for marketing and corporate communications, will strengthen Strategic Customer Operations and focus on TietoEnator level sales activities.

Mr Juhani Strömberg (51), PhD (Tech.), currently responsible for Group Development, has been appointed Senior Vice President, Strategic Offering. In his new role he will report to Mr Viljakainen.

Ms Päivi Lindqvist (35), MSc (Econ.), MBA and currently responsible for Investor Relations and Financial Communication, has been appointed Senior Vice President, Communications and Investor Relations. She will extend her responsibilities to include media relations and internal communications.

Mr Håkan Friberg, Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Jouko Lonka, Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs will continue in their current positions. Senior Vice President and CFO Mr Timo Salmela will extend his responsibilities to include Group strategy alongside finance.

The new President and CEO Mr Pentti Heikkinen and Deputy CEO Mr Åke Plyhm will form a unified CEO team. Mr Plyhm will participate in the management of the business operations equally with Mr Heikkinen. The President and CEO, Deputy CEO and the corporate functions comprise the CEO's Office. The Deputy CEO, all the business area presidents and the heads of the corporate functions will report to Mr Heikkinen and, together with Mr Strömberg, will form the new Corporate Management Team (CMT).
