In this newly created role, Nguyen has operational responsibility for Axioma’s risk and regulatory reporting business that Axioma agreed to acquire from global back-office investment services provider ConceptONE in March.

This appointment forms part of Axioma’s goal to significantly expand market share in North America and Europe as demand for regulatory reporting continues to grow. In her role, Nguyen will oversee the client service teams in Axioma’s regulatory and risk reporting units, with responsibility for a growing global client base. She will report to Ian Webster, Axioma’s Chief Operating Officer, and will be based in the firm’s global headquarters in New York.

“Axioma is on a rapid growth trajectory, and a key component of this is the acquisition of ConceptONE’s risk and regulatory reporting units, which has enabled us to offer clients a consistent view of regulatory and internal risks from front to middle to back office,” said Webster. “Bao will play an important role in helping scale our regulatory and risk reporting capabilities to answer market demand for these services, and her outstanding qualifications and prior experience with acquisition integration will be particularly valuable to the firm.”

Nguyen most recently served as Global Alternative Investment Operations Director at Confluence Technologies, Inc., where she first joined in 2014 as Global Client Services Director via the acquisition of her previous employer, Data Agent. There she served as Vice President of Operations. Prior to this, Nguyen was at MSCI, Inc. where she worked on the implementation of its risk management systems, RiskMetrics and Barra. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Architecture.
