As part of its globalization strategy TietoEnator has decided to establish a new Executive Advisors unit which will be headed by Mr Bo Harald, currently head of Payments and e-Services in Nordea.

Bo Harald has a worldwide reputation as a pioneer in the field of e-banking and as a developer of e-business services. In his new position Bo Harald, who starts with TietoEnator on 1 January 2006, will report to Pekka Viljakainen, Senior Vice President, Strategic Customer Management.

The Executive Advisors unit will concentrate on consulting and advisory services for digitalization of business operations, providing these services to TietoEnator's internationally growing customer portfolio. The unit will collaborate closely with TietoEnator's industry expertise areas and the cross-industry Digital Innovations unit. Its staff will be experienced management consultants with special expertise in the digitalization of business operations and based in TietoEnator's various countries of operation.

"The purpose of the new unit is to act as a management advisor to its customers in projects where the industrial production of services will generate significant competitive leverage for TietoEnator's customers," Pekka Viljakainen said. "TietoEnator's position as the leading European provider of research and development services for the telecom sector and as a world-class expert in digitalization of banking services gives us an outstanding start in this task. I am delighted with Bo Harald's decision to join us in spreading this message to our rapidly increasing portfolio of international customers."

"Modern IT solutions are playing a key role today as customers seek solutions that will improve their service levels and the cost-efficiency of their processes. I have followed the growth in TietoEnator's competence for a number of years and I am very enthusiastic about the opportunity to participate in the next stages of this success story," said Bo Harald.
