National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, announces new management appointments: Artyom Duvanov was appointed Director for Innovations, Denis Buryakov was named Managing Director for Depository Operations, and Tatiana Trostyanitskaya assumed the post of Director of Securities Department.
In his new role, Artyom Duvanov will focus on innovations. The depository made a decision to strengthen this area due to the increasing importance of new technologies in financial markets (FinTech). Mr. Duvanov will be responsible for researching innovation issues, and elaborating on and fulfilling plans for their adaptation and implementation. His duties will also include developing innovative products, in conjunction with colleagues from NSD’s IT and business divisions.
Mr. Duvanov brings 15 years of experience in financial and IT companies to the position. He joined NSD in 2015 as Chief IT Architect.
Denis Buryakov will oversee NSD’s key business area - depository operations. In particular, his responsibilities will focus on developing NSD’s depository services and promoting them on the Russian and international markets.
Mr. Buryakov started his career at NSD as a specialist and worked his way up to head the company’s department. He has worked in various units of the depository and knows all its business areas. He has taken part in projects that are highly significant for the infrastructure and the market, such as developing the central securities depository, assigning the withholding agent’s functions and pre-LOU status to NSD.
As Director of Securities Department, Tatiana Trostyanitskaya will deal with issues of Russian and foreign securities’ receipt and servicing, corporate actions processing and interactions with registrars and issuers. Her responsibility area will cover assigning codes to securities (ISINs and CFIs) and overseeing the functions of the pre-LOU, as well as distributing information and information services.
Previously, Tatiana Trostyanitskaya headed up the Securities Market Participants Relationship Division. She joined the NSD team in 1999. Prior to transferring to the division responsible for interacting with issuers, she has worked in the depository’s Legal Department for a few years.
