Ipreo appoints new head of Asia-Pacific operations

Ipreo, a global provider of market intelligence and workflow solutions to corporate and financial services professionals, announced that it has hired David Day as Managing Director and Head of APAC, based in Hong Kong.

Day has over 18 years of financial services experience encompassing investment banking, business development and financial technology across Asia and the United States. Previous roles include Head of Marketing of the Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange, Director in the Merrill Lynch Strategy and Business Development Group in Hong Kong, and Vice President in the Goldman Sachs Financial Institutions Group of the Investment Banking Division in New York. Day has also served on the Board of Directors and in alumni leadership positions of nonprofit institutions including Sponsors for Educational Opportunity and various educational institutions. He earned an MBA from the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA Program and holds a bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

In addition to broad oversight responsibilities across Ipreo's Asia operations, Day will also have a business focus on managing and growing Ipreo's Global Markets Group in the region.

"He will be a strong addition to our leadership team as we continue our tremendous growth in the region."

Ipreo has nearly 50 full-time employees based in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Taipei and Beijing, and is relied upon by many of the region's most prominent investment banks and public companies for mission-critical data and software solutions.
