Portware, a FactSet company and the first and only global provider of multi-asset trade automation solutions powered by artificial intelligence, today announced the appointment of Chris Sorensen as FX Product Manager.
Following several recent multi-asset global wins, Sorensen will help drive Portware’s continued innovation and growth in the FX space with a particular focus on execution and automation tools for tier one global asset management firms.
Sorensen will be based in FactSet’s Boston office and will partner with both the existing Portware team and the buy side to bring similar levels of performance and value to OTC markets that exist for listed equities. Prior to joining Portware, Sorensen was the global head of strategic alliances and technical account management at FX Connect. Earlier in his career he held roles at State Street as Vice President for client implementation and technical account management and at BNY Mellon as a fixed income trading systems analyst.
“Hiring Chris Sorensen is a testament to Portware’s continued ability to attract both premier buy-side clients and top industry talent,” said Alfred Eskandar, CEO of Portware. “Chris’s appointment demonstrates Portware and FactSet's continued commitment to building smart automation across all asset classes for the buy side, and we continue to build on our momentum by expanding our FX team with strategic hires on both the engineering and business sides.”
In addition to features like Auto RFQ, pre- and post-trade TCA, custom algo development, and FX-specific visualization tools, Portware’s growing FX team furthers the company’s position as a leading provider of global multi-asset execution management systems for tier one asset managers globally.
