Compliance Science (CSI), a leading provider of governance, risk management and compliance solutions, today announced the appointment of Ronald Gould as Chairman – Europe, as well as his addition to the Board of Directors, effective September 23, 2015.
Mr. Gould joins CSI with extensive experience leading financial companies through periods of rapid global growth in complex regulatory and compliance environments. He has also served as a Senior Advisor to the UK regulator, the Financial Services Authority (FSA), lending his expertise to advise on a wide range of policy and regulatory matters.
“Pan-European regulations, including additions to the Market Abuse Directive and MIFID are set to come into effect in addition to the Senior Managers Regime faced by the UK. These will have a direct impact on the compliance programs of UK and EU-based firms. As a result we have seen a strong demand for regulatory and compliance expertise, as well as compliance automation technology,” said Mitchel Kraskin, CEO of CSI. “Ron’s unparalleled experience will be instrumental in leading our European operations to meet these needs and provide our clients with best in class compliance and governance solutions.”
Prior to joining CSI, he held several management positions at BZW/Barclays Asset Management, responsible for the first international operations of Barclays’ asset management business and creation of business strategy and development. He has additionally served as CEO of Chi-X Asia Pacific, CEO of ABG Sundal Collier ASA, and Managing Director of AXA Investment Managers.
