AIM Software, a global software provider of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions for financial and securities institutions worldwide, today announced the appointment of Ian Grow as Director of Sales for the North American Market.

Based in Washington, DC, Ian Grow will report to Vienna-based Chief Commercial Officer Josef Sommeregger. Grow will play a key role in supporting and expanding the AIM Software's customer portfolio in North America, leveraging AIM Software's success in the region.

Grow said: "I am excited to join such a fast growing and innovative company as AIM Software. North American firms are dealing with increasing transactions volumes, data sources, and security types, coupled with increasing regulatory requirements – leading to increased number of exceptions and increased accountability. What's needed is an approach that helps firms deal with these constantly changing data requirements, with a solution that scales with them."

"There is clearly high demand for a data management solution that takes away this complexity, giving business users the ability to build and manage their own workflow flexibly without overconsuming limited IT resources, while keeping overall costs down over time. We're in prime position to help firms achieve this, and therefore increase efficiencies.”

Grow brings over 15 years experience of information management in the financial sector, and has held several senior sales and management positions at firms including Advent, Thomson Reuters, and Baseline Financial. Prior to that he held senior global business development roles for telecommunications and technology firms such as Motorola and Web.com in Chicago, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Munich.

"We are very pleased to welcome somebody with Ian's deep domain expertise and regional experience into our North American team,” said Sommeregger. "Ian understands the needs of the Buy-Side community in the North American market and as we support more applications, we can quickly match the right solution to our clients' demand. Grow's wealth of experience in serving the asset management industry will help AIM Software develop and grow opportunities and better serve customers and partners in the region."
