Numerix announces plan for expansion and job creation in Ireland

Numerix, the leading provider of cross-asset analytics for derivatives valuations and risk management, announces today its plans to expand into Ireland with the opening of a new office.

With a base of operations in Ireland, Numerix will seek to build a significant presence in the country in terms of recruiting new employees with backgrounds in financial engineering, financial analytics development as well as professionals in legal and accounting. The announcement is made with the support of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

As a customer driven company, Numerix leverages its derivatives analytics inside pricing and risk software products to serve the needs of financial institutions. It’s integrated pricing and risk framework, Numerix CrossAsset provides all of the fundamental building blocks to create and build unlimited derivatives structures.

“We’re seeking a labor force comprised of high level professionals in the area of financial engineering, financial analytic development, quality assurance, quantitative first and second tier support, as well as personnel with backgrounds in legal and accounting domain knowledge,” said Steven R. O’Hanlon, Chief Executive Officer & President of Numerix. “Numerix is drawn to the qualified pool of employees in Ireland that will help the firm to meet its staffing needs and business objectives, specifically for research and development initiatives. In addition we will seek to expand our professional service group in Ireland which will be leveraged throughout the entire EMEA region to further support client needs and requests.”

O’Hanlon adds: “Numerix is looking to hire 30 high-skilled positions over the next three years.”

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD said: “Financial services is a key sector which we have targeted as part of our Action Plan for Jobs, and in recent years we have seen a strong jobs performance in this area. Last year as part of a drive to accelerate jobs growth we appointed Minister of State, Simon Harris who has been instrumental in driving an ambitious new financial services strategy which targets 10,000 extra jobs in Ireland. Today’s announcement that Numerix, a fast-growing innovative financial software company, is creating 30 extra jobs in Dublin is another welcome step along this road. I wish Steven and his team every success with this project.”
