Polaris names N.M. Vaidyanathan CFO

Polaris Consulting & Services Ltd. (Polaris), a leader in solutions and services that enable unprecedented operational productivity for the Global Financial Services industry, today announced the appointment of Uma Ratnam Krishnan as a Director on the Board and N.M. Vaidyanathan as Chief Financial Officer of the company with effect from March 19, 2015.

Ms. Uma Ratnam Krishnan comes with a solid track record of 27 years in the Financial Services sector. This includes rich experience in developing strategy and vision, conceptualising, building and leading large cross-functional, geographically diverse teams.

Her leadership roles include senior positions in Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in the UK prior to which she was Director, Global Operations Hub for RBS’ Retail, Corporate and Commercial operations. After an initial stint with the Indian Foreign Service, her career in banking began with ANZ Grindlays and HDFC Bank after her MBA from IIM, Bangalore. Ms. Krishnan is currently an independent director on the board of Take Solutions Ltd.

Mr. N.M Vaidyanathan is a seasoned finance and operations leader with more than 20 years of experience in various organizations across sectors. He has developed deep expertise in creating and implementing strategic business plans, managing finances, allocating capital, and optimizing operations and processes.

Vaidyanathan was recently associated with Vivimed Labs Ltd., an India-based global supplier of specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals as Group CFO. In the past he has worked with NSL Group of companies, Hostmann - Steinberg Inc (USA), Bilag Industries Ltd and Stock Holding Corporation. Vaidyanathan is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant. He is also a qualified CPA from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The Board of Directors have declared an Interim Dividend of Rs 5 per share (100%) to the shareholders whose names are on the Register of Members as on the record date, 31st March 2015.
