Lloyds Bank strengthens transaction banking team

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has made three appointments in its Global Transaction Banking team, to further strengthen and enhance its capabilities and services to its clients.

Joining the Global Transaction Banking team are Keith Softly Head of Fixed Assets, Stephen Everett as Managing Director of Segment Propositions and Francesca Corscadden as Head of Financial Institutions Cash Management and Payments sales.

Both Softly and Everett will report into Adrian Walker, Managing Director, Products in Global Transaction Banking while Corscadden will report into John Salter, Director of Cash Management and Payments, part of Managing Director Donald Kerr’s client coverage team. These hires reflect the commitment Lloyds Bank has to meet its clients’ transaction banking needs by further strengthening the leadership team.

Softly joins from RBS’s asset finance division, Lombard North Central PLC, where he has spent the last six years leading its strategy and product development. Prior to joining Lombard, Softly spent three years at CIT Group, where he led its branded vendor finance with a multi-region team. The first six years of his career was spent in a variety of roles relating to leasing and vendor finance for Hitachi Capital, Abbey National Business and Schroder Leasing. Softly joined the bank on 29 September and will be based in London.

Everett also joins from RBS, where he has spent the last 16 years in a variety of roles. The last six years were in its Global Transaction Services team with his final role as Global Head of Cash Management. Prior to that he spent three years in its Global Banking & Markets team as its CAO and from 1998-2004 in its Group Internal Audit team. Everett will join in October and be based in London.

“Stephen’s team will be responsible for leveraging this investment to create insights and compelling propositions across our diverse client franchise, ensuring we are listening to their requirements and focusing our efforts on building capability and product innovation through a client lens.”

Corscadden joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she has spent the last year heading up its public sector team and building the business for EMEA region. Prior to that she was Director for public sector sales at Citibank NA for three years, having enhanced her leadership and coaching skills with the Academy of Executive Coaching. Corscadden has also held a variety of roles within Global Transaction services at ABN Amro and Citibank and originally started her career at Lloyds with responsibility for the banks top tier corporate and high net worth clients. Corscadden joined on 5 September and will be based in London.
