Based in London, Kerr will focus primarily on managing sales, delivery and customer support for these key regions of Level Four's operations. In this newly created position at Level Four, Kerr will boost the company's rapidly expanding global presence and will further cement Level Four's position as the de facto industry standard for ATM testing.

"Level Four is experiencing an exciting growth period following the £2 million venture capital we received from Quester to accelerate our development activities and support our global expansion plans," said Martin Macmillan, CEO of Level Four Software. "Recruiting senior sales people of Ian's calibre will help the company capitalise on the growth of the ATM market in new regions. Asia Pacific, for example, is undergoing significant growth and is tipped to become the biggest ATM market by 2009, overtaking both Europe and North America*.

"Ian has an excellent track record of producing exceptional results in various geographies. I am confident that he will be pivotal in helping Level Four achieve global market leadership in ATM testing and development solutions."

Kerr joins Level Four from Accurate Software, now a CheckFree company, where he was senior vice president of business development for UK, Ireland and South Africa. Prior to Accurate Software, Kerr was regional director for Asia Pacific at London Bridge Software, formerly Phoenix International, and was based in Singapore. Ian has also held senior sales roles at IBM, Deluxe Data and NCR.

"Level Four has an impressive suite of ATM testing and development solutions that have been at the heart of the company’s growth and success, and which will continue to be key as the company expands globally," Kerr said. "I'm excited to join such a progressive technology firm that is dedicated to client service. I look forward to not only contributing to the growth of Level Four by accelerating the company's presence in Europe, South Africa and Asia Pacific, but also to helping our customers worldwide safely deploy new open standards-based ATM applications."

The company recently launched Release 2.7 of its flagship ATM Channel Development Suite. The new edition enables customers worldwide to comply with updated specifications from the leading ATM manufacturers and incorporates the latest updates to the EMV standard. It contains an improved user interface, additional support for foreign languages and advanced new capabilities for the automation of ATM regression testing.
