Board members Charlene T. Begley, Börje E. Ekholm, Steven D. Black, Robert Greifeld, Glenn H. Hutchins, Essa Kazim, John D. Markese, Ellyn A. McColgan, Thomas F. O'Neill, Michael R. Splinter, and Lars Wedenborn were elected to their positions. Subsequent to the Annual Meeting, Börje E. Ekholm was re-elected to serve as Chairman the Board by the Board of Directors. All will serve one-year terms.

NASDAQ OMX shareholders also approved the following proposals:
• Ratification of the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as NASDAQ OMX's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2014
• The company's executive compensation on an advisory basis
• The NASDAQ OMX Equity Incentive Plan, as amended and restated; and
• An amendment of NASDAQ OMX's Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation to conform a provision to an analogous provision in NASDAQ OMX's By-Laws
