Znap, the global mobile business platform, today announced it has appointed former McKinsey & Company partner Tommaso Natale as Chief Product and Strategy Officer. Natale is responsible for enhancing and scaling the company's product offering on a global basis.
Natale will spearhead the delivery of ZNAP's Omni-Commerce (O-Commerce) proposition across the globe. O-Commerce provides consumers with a seamless, radically improved purchasing experience and offers companies valuable new business opportunities. It works by replacing multiple channels with a one-to-one commercial experience between a buyer and a seller using a mobile app - ZNAP.
Natale has over 16 years experience in consulting, with a primary focus on serving financial institutions. He joins ZNAP from McKinsey & Company, where he was made a partner in 2008. Natale held a leadership role within the European Payments practice, leading multiple initiatives on cards and transaction banking, serving clients from across the globe. Prior to joining McKinsey & Company, Natale worked at Ernst & Young Consulting.
Natale will be based in Hong Kong and hold a global role.
Tommaso Natale, ZNAP Chief Product and Strategy Officer, said: "This is a hugely exciting time to join ZNAP. I envisage a future where the silos that separate the channels of business are taken away, the barriers to commerce are removed, and the mobile phone becomes the proxy for all customer transactions and interactions.
"Mobile phones enable new "great purchasing experiences" for consumers and more business for merchants, in both the digital and real world. As an example, ZNAP enables consumers to avoid queues, get personalized offers, pre-order and make immediate purchases from off-line advertising. At the same time, ZNAP enables merchants to achieve better return on marketing investment, address new customers, reduce operating costs and improve shrinkage management.
"This is O-Commerce. It is the next step in the evolutionary chain: first there were only in-person transactions, followed by mail order, then e-commerce, followed by m-commerce and now O-Commerce. It is all about using technology to solve real business issues and meeting consumer er needs.
"ZNAP is unique in that it has both the technology and the people to turn this vision into reality.
Alessandro Gadotti, ZNAP Group CEO, said: "As we continue to build momentum and expand globally, it is important that we attract and appoint the very best talent. Tommaso comes from a background in global finance and he has a wealth of experience in supporting top managers taking strategic decisions, growing their business and improving operations. He has spent his career understanding business problems and using technology to deliver solutions. We share the same philosophy.
"Tommaso's appointment is a significant step in making ZNAP a household name across the globe."
