Corvil, a provider of real-time operational performance analytics and monitoring solutions for IT, has appointed Van Diamandakis Chief Marketing Officer.

Based in Dublin and reporting to CEO Donal Byrne, Diamandakis will help the company achieve its aggressive growth plan by taking its leading analytics and monitoring platform into other vertical markets with similar high-performance, latency-sensitive and data intensive IT operational environments as the financial services industry.

Diamandakis joins Corvil with a track record of positioning innovative technology firms for rapid growth. Most recently, he was SVP of Marketing at Joyent Cloud, where his efforts to drive the company's market position in cloud infrastructure resulted in a 70% increase in annual revenue. As head of outbound marketing at ServiceSource International, Diamandakis executed the marketing plan to establish the business processing outsourcer (BPO) as a leader in cloud-powered recurring revenue management solutions, and developed a brand strategy and marketing engine that fuelled more than $30 million worth of deals and navigated the company through a successful IPO in March 2011.

Donal Byrne, Corvil CEO, said: "For years, the world's top banks and liquidity venues have relied on Corvil to ensure the performance and integrity of their incredibly demanding 24x7 IT trading infrastructures. Today, as the entire world moves into a real-time, always-on way of doing business, Corvil has a tremendous opportunity ahead. Van's expertise in elevating innovative technology firms to new heights will be critical as we aim to replicate our success in sectors beyond the financial services industry."

Diamandakis will be tasked with shaping and leading the company's global marketing efforts. He will spearhead the acceleration of the company's business development activity in each one of its vertical industries including financial services, energy, e-commerce, gaming, entertainment, insurance, media and advertising.

Diamandakis said: "Corvil has told a compelling story in the most demanding of IT environments where its real-time data analytics and monitoring capabilities are the gold standard. My aim is to broaden this success story with product alignment and sell it in a variety of new sectors, where enterprises are just starting to realize how important the real-time analysis of the data in their network is relative to delivering an excellent customer experience and staying ahead of their competition. Only Corvil has the patented trusted technology to deliver the instant operational, business and customer insights for real-time businesses."
