Pitney Bowes hires Ron Totaro as GM, global financial services

Pitney Bowes, Inc. (PBI) today announced that Ron Totaro has joined the company as General Manager, Global Financial Services reporting to Mark Shearer, Executive Vice President and President, Pitney Bowes Small and Mid-sized Business Solutions.

Totaro will be leading a team that is responsible for the strategic planning execution and P&L of the global payments and leasing businesses for Pitney Bowes.

Totaro has an extensive background of building global organizations, driving top and bottom-line growth and leading innovation in payments, financial services, technology and ecommerce businesses. Ron has held leadership positions at GE Capital, American Express and America Online, and has led strategic transformation and growth at FICO, ACI Worldwide and private equity-backed companies.

“As we continue to unlock value for our clients, shareholders and employees, Ron’s strong financial services and global leadership experience will be directly applicable to his role at Pitney Bowes,” said Shearer. “Ron will drive revenue growth by optimizing our existing global payments and leasing business, expanding it to new geographies and across business lines, and leading innovation efforts for new offerings.”

Totaro holds an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at University of Michigan and a BS from the State University of New York at Albany. A Six Sigma Master Blackbelt, he is an active member of The Executive Forum and the Electronic Transaction Association.
