BofAML appoints Percy Batliwalla as global head of sales for large corporates and financial firms

We are pleased to announce that Percy Batliwalla has been named global head of Sales for Large Corporates and Financial Institutions in Global Transaction Services (GTS) at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

He will remain in Singapore and will report to Paul Simpson, head of GTS.

In his new role, Percy will continue to build on the progress of the Sales strategy established under the leadership of Jennifer Boussuge, recently named head of GTS for EMEA, to develop a focused and well coordinated Sales organisation that leverages the power of our global capabilities.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul Simpson said: "Percy's deep experience in treasury and trade, strong leadership abilities and global perspective, make him perfectly suited for this role." Earlier this year, he was named the inaugural recipient of The Asset's Sales Leadership Achievement Award in Asia Pacific and has also been recognised in the List of Leading Practitioners by The AsianBanker.

Percy was most recently head of Asia Pacific GTS Sales where he was responsible for sales management as well as developing and implementing an integrated strategy for GTS clients in the region. Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch in May 2010, he worked at J.P. Morgan for six years, most recently as head of Asia Pacific Financial Institutions - Banks. A career banker, Percy's prior experience includes a variety of roles in corporate banking, corporate finance, structured trade and corporate audit. He is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India.
