Richard Boesch rejoins SunGard's Kiodex unit

SunGard today announced that Dr. Richard Boesch is rejoining the Kiodex business unit as chief quantitative strategist and vice president of financial engineering.

Dr. Boesch co-founded Kiodex, as chief scientist and vice president of modeling and analytics, in 2000. SunGard acquired Kiodex in 2004. Dr. Boesch will lead the development of the Kiodex Risk Workbench, a Web-based commodities risk management solution, a role he filled during Kiodex's first three years of operation.

Most recently, Dr. Boesch served as director on Deutsche Bank's convertible bond proprietary trading book. Dr. Boesch is a specialist in the field of derivatives modeling and software development. He helped to launch the New York office of Credit Suisse Financial Products (CSFP) in 1993.

Dr. Boesch got his start in the financial industry in the fixed income product development group at Bankers Trust, in New York, in 1993. Until that time, he was an assistant professor of physics at the University of Dijon, France. Dr. Boesch holds a Ph.D. in theoretical condensed matter physics from Boston University.
