Morgan Stanley's Allan Boardman re-elected Isaca international VP

Isaca, a global association serving 110,000 IT governance, assurance, risk and security professionals in 180 countries, announced its 2013-2014 Board of Directors and Allan Boardman, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, ACA, CA (SA), CISSP, information risk manager at Morgan Stanley (United Kingdom), was reelected international vice president of ISACA.

Founded in 1969, ISACA develops international standards, frameworks and guidance to help enterprises maximize the value of their information and systems. ISACA administers the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) designations. The association also developed and continually updates COBIT, the internationally accepted framework for governance and management of enterprise IT. The latest version, COBIT 5, was released last year.

Boardman began his career with Deloitte in Cape Town, South Africa, and has more than 30 years of experience in information systems audit, risk, security and consultancy roles at companies including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, KPMG, PWC, Marks and Spencer, and the London Stock Exchange. He is a past president of the ISACA London Chapter and has served on the British Computer Society's Information Risk Management and Audit Committee. He has also served on and chaired ISACA's CISM Certification Committee and Leadership Development Committee. He currently chairs ISACA's Credentialing and Career Management Board and is a member of ISACA's Strategic Advisory Council. He is also a London 2012 Paralympics Games Maker, a school governor (chair of the finance committee), and a Freeman of the City of London.

In addition to Boardman, 10 other business and IT leaders were selected to serve on the 2013-2014 ISACA Board of Directors. Tony Hayes, CGEIT, AFCHSE, CHE, FACS, FCPA, FIAA, appointed Deputy Director-General of the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services in the Queensland Government (Australia), was elected international president. Elected as international vice presidents were Juan Luis Carselle, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, assistant director of IT at Walmart de Mexico y Centro America (Mexico); Ramsés Gallego, CISM, CGEIT, CCSK, CISSP, SCPM, Six Sigma Black Belt, security strategist and evangelist at Dell Software (Spain); Theresa Grafenstine, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, CIA, CGAP, CGMA, CPA, inspector general of the US House of Representatives (USA); R Vittal Raj, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CFE, CIA, CISSP, FCA, partner of M/s. Kumar & Raj and director at Pristine Consulting Private Limited (India); Jeff Spivey, CRISC, CPP, president of Security Risk Management Inc. (SRM) and strategy advisor for RiskIQ (USA); and Marc Vael, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, CISSP, ITIL, chief audit executive at Smals vzw (Belgium).

Three directors were appointed to ISACA's board: Christos Dimitriadis, Ph.D., CISA, CISM, CRISC, head of information security for INTRALOT Group (Greece); Krysten McCabe, CISA, senior manager in the Assurance and Advisory Management Program at The Home Depot (USA); and Jo Stewart-Rattray, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, FACS CP, director of information security and IT assurance at BRM Holdich (Australia).
