NRI names Yasuki Okai financial technology solution division manager

Nomura Research Institute (NRI), Ltd., a leading global IT solutions and consulting services provider, announced today that Yasuki Okai has been named Senior Managing Director and Financial Technology Solution Division Manager.

In his new role, Okai will focus on further growing NRI's business across the capital markets sector. Working along with his team, Okai will lead the development of innovative IT solutions to ensure clients continue to remain compliant with the changing regulatory landscape. Okai will manage NRI's Financial Technology Solution Division and will report directly to Senior Executive Vice President and Member of the Board, Keiichi Ishibashi.

Okai joined NRI in 1988 and has held various senior roles at the firm, including his recent position as the head of the Financial Technology and Market Research Department and Investment Information Systems Business Department. During his career, Okai has played an instrumental role at the firm, including managing the development of cash management systems for banks and leading IT systems operational reform. Okai earned his Master of Science degree in engineering from the University of Tokyo.
