NYSE Clearing intends to launch a revamped NYSE Clearing platform in June 2013 to expand its existing clearing business.

Ms O'Sullivan joins NYSE Euronext on 3 December 2012 having worked most recently at Citigroup, where she was Global Head of Risk for Futures and OTC Clearing, having previously held a similar role at J P Morgan. During that time, Ms O'Sullivan served on the Risk Committees of various global CCPs and has therefore been at the forefront of developments in risk management for futures and OTC derivatives clearing.

Ms O'Sullivan will report to Mark Ibbotson, Chief Executive of NYSE Liffe for Clearing, Trading & Regulation.

Mark Ibbotson said: "We are delighted to welcome Demetria to NYSE Euronext. She brings important risk management leadership skills and industry experience to our management team, underlining our commitment to offer a world-class clearing solution to our clients."
