Fiserv appoints Tom Allanson president, electronic payments

Fiserv (NASDAQ: FISV), a leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, today announced that Tom Allanson has joined the company as division president, Electronic Payments.

In this role, Allanson will lead day-to-day operations as well as strategic initiatives for the Electronic Payments business, with a focus on enhancing the functionality and reach of the company's flagship consumer and small business bill payment solutions.

Allanson has a proven history as a business leader, and has spent the past 15 years leading large-scale teams in the creation of technology solutions for consumers and businesses. Prior to joining Fiserv, Allanson was the chief executive officer of PerfectForms Inc., an organization that aids in automating business processes through workflow applications.

Previously, Allanson spent several years in the tax industry, including founding his own company where he developed and launched a new online tax experience. Upon the acquisition of the company by H&R Block in 2005 Allanson joined H&R Block, eventually becoming president of several digital tax, international and commercial businesses. Allanson has also held leadership positions at Intuit, General Electric and Square D Company.

"He will play a key role as we continue to serve our bank and credit union clients by developing and delivering payment solutions that enable them to meet consumer's changing financial management needs."

Allanson will report directly to Gupta in his new role.

Allanson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Auburn University.
