Skrill appoints Siegfried Heimgärtner CEO

Skrill (Moneybookers), one of Europe's largest online payment providers, has appointed former Ingenico Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff Siegfried Heimgärtner as Chief Executive Officer.

Heimgärtner has extensive experience in the payments sector having spent the last decade in senior roles at various European payment companies. In his last role at Ingenico he was responsible for global business coordination, strategic alliances and partnerships, and was a member of the Management Board. Prior to their acquisition by Ingenico, he was MD, then CEO at easycash Group, the market leading payment service provider in Germany.

Heimgärtner gained his strong international sales, marketing and operational understanding in earlier roles at leading technology companies, including Epson, and gained intercultural experiences while serving as a military officer in the United States and Belgium.

A graduate of the Bull International Management Programme at Ecole Européenne des Affaires, Paris, Heimgärtner also holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.
