Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRD) today announced the resignation of its President, Don Morrison, who will be leaving the Company to join a Silicon Valley venture-backed technology company as their Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Morrison will transition his responsibilities through June 2005.
"Don Morrison has been a significant contributor to Chordiant over the past eight years, serving in a wide variety of senior level roles," said Stephen Kelly, Chordiant CEO. "His knowledge of Chordiant's markets and products were instrumental in moving the Company to the levels it has achieved today. We will miss Don's great enthusiasm, commitment and energy to building the Company and wish him well in his new venture," Kelly stated.
With Mr. Morrison's departure, the engineering, marketing and product development functions will now report directly to Stephen Kelly, Chordiant CEO.
Mr. Morrison joined Chordiant in 1997 and served in several management positions including vice president of worldwide field operations and executive vice president of products and marketing. He was named president in January 2004, with responsibilities for Chordiant's product strategy and product management, research and development, engineering, global alliances, marketing, customer support functions and mergers and acquisitions.
Separately, Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRD) today announced the appointment of Robert Mullen as president of worldwide field operations. In his expanded role, Mr. Mullen will now be responsible for sales, pre-sales and delivery activities in Western and Continental Europe as well as his present responsibilities in North America.
"Rob has been with Chordiant for the past six years and has been instrumental in the Company's success in North America and Europe and has been closely involved with the majority of Chordiant's enterprise customers in both geographies," said Stephen Kelly, Chordiant CEO. "As president of North American field operations and worldwide strategic accounts for the past several years, Rob has built a strong field team and customer base in both the United States and Canada."
Prior to joining Chordiant, Mr. Mullen spent eight years with IBM in the Financial Services Sector as sales manager of the solutions group. He has also held positions at a number of large multi-national corporations as an IT project manager responsible for implementing service and sales-based call centers and customer interaction systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Honors Degree in Computer Science.
