Alpari (UK) Limited ("Alpari (UK)"), one of the leading global providers of online foreign exchange ("Forex", "FX"), precious metals and CFD trading services, has appointed David Hodge as Chief Marketing Officer.

David joins the company from IG Group, where he was Group Marketing Director.

In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and brand initiatives for the Alpari group of companies worldwide. Working closely with the Alpari Board of Directors to increase the brand profile, David will help ensure that the company achieves its vision to become the world's premier broker.

David brings with him over 20 years of marketing experience. He started his career working in blue chip global businesses in marketing roles at Wilkinson Sword, Cadbury and Scottish Courage. He then moved on to start-up, low-cost airline bmibaby, where he was the Commercial Director running marketing, sales, ecommerce, revenue management and network planning, before joining IG Group in 2008.

At IG, he introduced a new global advertising campaign, launched the company's new website and engineered some of the most innovative marketing campaigns in the sector. During his time there, the company won a prestigious Management Today award for best marketing of all FTSE 100 and 250 businesses in 2010.

Daniel Skowronski, Chief Commercial Officer at Alpari (UK) and Chief Executive Officer of Alpari (US), says, "David is a well-recognised marketing professional who brings with him immense brand experience and enthusiasm. We are very pleased to have him on board at this important stage of our companies' global growth story."

David comments, "I am very excited about the Alpari companies' global expansion plans. For Alpari to have grown so fast in this highly competitive market is a real achievement and I am looking forward to the challenge of assisting the business in the next stage of its growth."
