In this role, he assumes responsibility for CA Technologies operations in the region, and is charged with accelerating the Company's business growth in EMEA, further positioning CA Technologies as a trusted advisor to its customers and strengthening its reputation as a thought leader in IT management solutions.

"Marco Comastri's appointment represents a coup for CA Technologies," says George Fischer, executive vice president and group executive, worldwide sales and operations, CA Technologies."To attract a business leader of such skill and experience to lead CA Technologies in EMEA is a testament to the Company's reputation in the market. His talent and vision will help CA Technologies to extend its leadership and authority in IT management software and solutions across all IT environments whether on site, in the cloud or in a combination of both."

Comastri joins CA Technologies with an outstanding track record in the IT industry, having helped drive growth at such companies as Microsoft, IBM and, most recently, Poste Italiane. As chief executive officer (CEO) of Postecom, the technology services division of Poste Italiane, Italy's largest communications provider, he was instrumental in introducing next-generation digital services, and new projects based on Cloud Computing technologies.

"It is a great honour to join CA Technologies and I'm looking forward to leading the EMEA team and to strengthening our market presence across the industry not just with customers but also with other IT organisations, governments, financial services, and industry influencers." says Comastri.

Comastri will be based at CA Technologies EMEA headquarters in Morges, Switzerland.
