Temenos (SIX: TEMN), the market leading provider of banking software, today announced that Guy Dubois has joined the company as chief executive officer (CEO), succeeding Andreas Andreades, who becomes chairman. Guy has also been elected as member of Temenos Board of Directors.

Guy has more than 30 years' leadership experience in the software industry, including PeopleSoft, where he led strategy, business development and execution for all company activities outside North America, and Amdocs where he was the executive vice president and president of its global business division. Most recently, Guy was CEO of hub-based mobile communications solutions provider MACH Group.

"Under Andreas' leadership, Temenos has already achieved tremendous success and I look forward to leading the company in the next phase of its growth. Temenos boasts unrivalled products, people, an exceptional customer base and a proven track record, which provides an excellent foundation on which to build our future success. It is an exciting time to join Temenos given the banking industry is undergoing such significant structural change. The core banking systems market is one of the few that remains underpenetrated and where Temenos' products can offer our clients such major benefits in improved efficiency, agility and customer service. Having worked in more mature software industries, I can see enormous potential for Temenos to build on its leading position globally and we are perfectly placed to capitalise on this huge market opportunity", commented Guy Dubois, CEO, Temenos.

"I am delighted to welcome Guy to the team. He is a great leader with a wealth of software experience and the right man to lead Temenos during its next phase of growth. I look forward to supporting him fully in what I believe is a truly exciting time for Temenos", commented Andreas Andreades, Chairman, Temenos.
