Today, Link, the UK cash machine network, announced the appointment of John Howells as its new CEO. This follows the move of Edwin Schooling Latter to the Bank of England at the end of March.
Mr Howells (45) was previously a Director of Ernst & Young's Financial Services business and Head of Benefits and Pensions Consulting at Capgemini where he specialised in the design and implementation of strategic change for major public and private sector organisations.
Dr Ken Andrew, LINK Chairman, welcomed the appointment commenting "I am delighted that John Howells has agreed to become the new Chief Executive of the LINK Scheme. He comes to us with an outstanding set of skills and expertise, which will be much valued by members of the LINK Scheme. His previous career has given him a background which will be of importance to the Scheme."
John Howells added "Ready and reliable access to cash is vital for UK consumers and businesses. I look forward to working with Members in developing LINK's strong track record for innovation and delivery in the provision of this service."
