Union Bank appoints John Itokazu as CIO

Previously, Itokazu spent more than 30 years at Zions Bancorporation in Utah, most recently as Chief Information and Operations Officer where he led over 1,700 employees and drove the successful integration of numerous banks onto a common banking platform. He also led treasury management services to deliver products and services for the company's treasury business. Prior to this, he headed bank operations and developed processes for improving the performance of daily operations, creating efficiency and more predictable results. In addition, he directed the activities of the installation and conversion of the company's deposit, savings, time, and account analysis systems. Itokazu also ran the retail operations for Zions Bank branch banking.

Itokazu holds a bachelor's degree in business administration. He will be based in Monterey Park, California and will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Masashi Oka.
