Wincor Nixdorf, one of the world's leading providers of IT solutions and services to retailers and retail banks, today announced that Oliver Weber has been promoted to chief executive officer of the company's U.S. operations.
In this position, Mr. Weber will oversee the continuation of Wincor Nixdorf's growth strategies based on technology leadership and service excellence.
Mr. Weber assumes chief executive responsibilities from Jens Bohlen, who has served as acting CEO for Wincor Nixdorf U.S. since October 2010 in addition to maintaining his position as a member of the Wincor Nixdorf Executive Board and senior vice president of the company's Global Services Division. Mr. Bohlen will also remain on Wincor Nixdorf's U.S. board of directors.
Mr. Weber, 44, joined Wincor Nixdorf in September 2003 as head of the Corporate Controlling department at Wincor Nixdorf's headquarters in Paderborn, Germany. In April 2007 he was appointed chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Wincor Nixdorf U.S., Austin, Texas.
Prior to joining Wincor Nixdorf, Mr. Weber served as a manager with the consulting firm Accenture in Zurich. He started his career with ABB in Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Mr. Weber holds a Masters Degree in Finance and Business Administration from the University of Kassel, Germany, and INSEEC, Paris. He lives in Austin with his wife and two Texas-born sons.
Taking over for Mr. Weber as CFO is Gina Miller, who most recently served as the company's director of finance and performance management. Ms. Miller joined Wincor Nixdorf in 2007 as a business controller and subsequently held a number of financial management positions within the company. Prior to joining Wincor Nixdorf, she served as a senior financial analyst with BAE Systems.
Ms. Miller holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
