FutureTrade, a leading independent provider of electronic equity and option execution services, announced today that it has further enhanced its electronic trading platform with the addition of TotalView, NASDAQ's premier market data product.

Buy-side traders using the FutureTrade platform will now be able to access all quotes and orders available for execution at every price level in the NASDAQ Market Center, adding greater transparency, liquidity and efficiency in the execution of their trades. FutureTrade users also have a distinct trading advantage as TotalView delivers its market data measurably faster than standard Level II data allowing them to react more quickly to trading opportunities.

"The addition of TotalView complements our existing offering giving our buy-side clients access to the in-depth information that they need to take full advantage of trading on the NASDAQ," said Mr. Jim Kwiatkowski, Executive Vice President of FutureTrade. "We are focused on helping our clients maximize their trading decisions and believe that they will benefit from TotalView's comprehensive and faster look at the market resulting in more efficient trade execution."

Integrated into the depth of book display on FutureTrade's platform, TotalView shows traders more than five times the liquidity of a standard Level II display included with less sophisticated trading platforms. In addition, TotalView provides:
  • All displayed quotes and orders attributed to specific market participants
  • Total displayed anonymous interest
  • Total size of all displayed quotes and orders
  • Net order imbalance information for the NASDAQ Opening and Closing Crosses.

"We are pleased that FutureTrade has chosen to offer its clients NASDAQ's TotalView," said Bill O'Brien, Senior Vice President, Market Data Distribution at The NASDAQ Stock Market. "With the increased liquidity and performance that TotalView allows, traders can better identify trading opportunities and improve their trading performance overall. By offering NASDAQ's premier order-book data product on its platform, FutureTrade is affirming its commitment to provide customers with the market information they need to succeed."

FutureTrade will also work with NASDAQ to enable other NASD member firms to deliver high quality electronic trading solutions to the institutional trading community through FutureTrade's LiquidityPATH program, a private label solution for the broker-dealer community.
