First Data appoints Ray Winborne CFO

First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Ray E. Winborne as the company's Chief Financial Officer.

Winborne was named Executive Vice President and Acting Chief Financial Officer in May 2010.

Chief Executive Officer Jon Judge said, "Ray Winborne has led the finance organization well during the last six months and has earned the respect of both his executive committee colleagues and members of the Board. Under Ray's leadership, our finance team has driven improvements that have benefitted our operations and improved the transparency in our external financial reporting. I am delighted to announce his appointment as First Data's Chief Financial Officer."

Winborne joined First Data in 2009 as Senior Vice President, Finance and Controller. Since then he has been the company's principal accounting officer responsible for all corporate accounting activities including SEC and regulatory financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley financial compliance, benefits and revenue accounting, procurement and receivable services. Winborne began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers and was later named corporate controller and chief accounting officer at two Fortune 200 companies - BellSouth Corporation and Delta Air Lines.
