Mrs Paulina McGroarty, will join SGX's Listings Unit as Head of Europe, Middle East and Russia on 5 November 2010, bringing with her a wealth of capital market experience in her area of coverage. Prior to SGX, Mrs McGroarty worked in Citigroup London as the Head of Corporate Access for Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa regions. Before joining Citigroup in 2004, Mrs McGroarty was the Managing Director of the Corporate Client Group at NASDAQ Stock Market, overseeing relationship management and new business development in Europe, Russia, South Africa, and the Middle East.

Mrs McGroarty will report to Mr Lawrence Wong, Head of Listings, Singapore Exchange. She will be based in SGX's London Office, working closely with Mr David Battle, SGX's Chief Representative in London, and the SGX's home team to reach out to companies seeking to tap the Asian capital markets to support their growth in Asia. She will focus on companies in SGX's key sectors, including but not limited to, REITs/Property Trusts, Marine & Offshore services, Energy/Resources, Commodities and Consumer Goods. Mrs McGroarty has 15 years of experience in equities. She started her career in research of stocks with Baring Asset Management in London in 1995. She went on to gain comprehensive experience in sales, fund management, oil and gas analysis and management positions with Baring Asset Management, then equity divisions of Lehman Brothers and Credit Lyonnais in London. In 2004, Mrs McGroarty began developing NASDAQ's business in Russia through the listing of Russian companies on NASDAQ and by servicing NASDAQ's existing EMEA client base. As the Managing Director, Corporate Client Group at the NASDAQ Stock Market, Mrs McGroarty was responsible for relationship management and new business development in Europe, Russia, South Africa, the Middle East. In 2009, she joined Citigroup, London as Head of Corporate Access for Eastern Europe Middle East & Africa regions. Mrs McGroarty holds a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Richmond College, an American University in London.
