Capco, the global business and technology consultancy dedicated solely to the financial services industry, has appointed Ian Holden to join Capco UK's rapidly growing banking practice. He joins the current partnership team of Mark Jenkinson and Peter Lewis, as a member of Capco's UK banking practice leadership team. Holden brings with him his strong background in financial services consulting and will complement the existing banking skills set with his specialised knowledge of customer management and digital strategy.

Prior to moving to Capco, Holden was a Partner at BearingPoint, where he led the Financial Services practice in the UK, overseeing business development and client delivery across capital markets, retail banking, and insurance. He brings over 15 years of deep industry experience in the delivery of management consulting projects across a wide range of disciplines including Operational Excellence, Business Strategy and Transformation, Finance Transformation, Systems Integration, Information Management and Performance Measurement.

Before joining BearingPoint he held various senior roles at Deloitte Consulting and Price Waterhouse Management Consulting.

Ian Holden, Partner:

"Retail banking is going through some major changes at the moment. Successful financial institutions must remain relevant to the fast changing demands of a market driven by regulatory requirements and client sophistication, while reducing operating cost and increasing efficiency for the future. The shake-up of the brand names consumers are seeing on the high street - resulting from building society mergers and the aggressive entry of new players - add to the sense of change in the market.

"I am delighted to be joining Capco at this time. The increase in demand from their customers is validation that banks require deep industry experience from the consulting partners they elect to work with to tackle business critical issues. The banking team at Capco is well positioned to advise its clients on how to best address the challenges in today's dynamic market. The team's deep industry understanding crosses the breadth of the sector, from retail banking to lending and payments, with its knowledge of multichannel marketing and distribution cutting across these."
