MasterCard Worldwide today announced that Sachin Mehra has joined MasterCard as Corporate Treasurer. He succeeds Andrea Robertson, who is retiring.
Mehra brings with him a range of financial experience in global corporations having held positions in key financial markets around the world, including New York, Singapore, Shanghai and Brussels.
Most recently, Mehra was with Hess Corporation, where he served as Treasurer for more than two years. Prior to Hess, he held various positions in the General Motors Corporation, including roles in the Treasurer's Office and General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC).
"Sachin brings breadth and depth of experience at a number of global companies, making him an excellent addition to the MasterCard team," said Martina Hund-Mejean, MasterCard chief financial officer. "His experience will certainly benefit the organization, and we look forward to his insights and expertise."
Mehra holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Bombay and an M.B.A. from The Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. Mehra was named to the Treasury & Risk Management/Citigroup "40 under 40" list of up-and-coming financial executives for four years (2005-2007, 2009).
