The SIA-SSB Ordinary Shareholders Meeting, convened today, has appointed the new Board of Directors for the three-year period 2010- 2012 and confirmed Carlo Tresoldi as Chairman of the company.
The new Board of Directors, which met immediately after the Shareholders Meeting, passed a resolution to appoint Massimo Arrighetti to the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Arrighetti, 53, was born in Bergamo and graduated in Business Management at Bocconi University in Milan. He began his professional career at IBM in 1981. He then joined McKinsey & Company in 1986 as a consultant and left in 1998, after becoming Senior Partner, to go to Poste Italiane as Director of the Banco Posta Division. In the same period, he was appointed CEO of Poste Vita, as well as a board member of Postecom, Eurogiro and Banco Posta Fondi SGR. In 2002, he joined Banca Intesa as Director of the Network Division. Among the many projects carried out, Arrighetti realized the integration of the Cariplo, Comit and Ambroveneto networks, thus giving rise to the new single brand Banca Intesa, as well as creating Intesa Vita and Intesa Private Banking.
In addition to Chairman Carlo Tresoldi and CEO Massimo Arrighetti, the new Board of Directors of SIA-SSB also includes Bruno Accornero, Paolo Cederle, Pier Luigi Curcuruto, Fabio Giardina, Paolo Grandi, Nazzareno Gregori, Fabrizio Grossi Gondi, Piero Luongo, Lodovico Mazzolin, Francesca Nieddu, Diego Piovan, Giovanni Pirovano and Umberto Quilici.
