Gusick, 46, joined Gravitas in 2009 and previously headed the company's Software Development group. Gusick will continue to report to Gravitas Chief Executive Officer Jayesh Punater.

Gravitas also announced that Managing Director Mark Seaman will lead the company's Business Consulting group, while Executive Director Steven Richard will move into a new role heading up New Ventures.

The new appointments take effect in March.

"We are currently seeing significant upside in the Gravitas business model. There are new opportunities in hedge funds, private equity and all of our target markets and these expanded roles for our executives will better enable us to align our services with client needs," Punater said.

Gusick has 25 years experience developing and managing front and middle office financial systems on Wall Street. Most recently he was the chief information officer at Perry Capital, a multi-strategy hedge fund. He also served as the CIO at Soros Fund Management and an executive director at Morgan Stanley, where he held several IT management/developer positions in fixed income, asset management, commodities and credit derivatives and a vice president at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Gusick has an MBA in finance from NYU's Executive Program, and a BS in computer science from Cornell University.

Gravitas' software development division provides a customized platform, GT360° that ties together the front, middle and back office functions, giving a portfolio manager the necessary tools to make the best possible business and investing decisions. The systems integration team operates outsourced and in-house datacenters and provides turn-key servicing of these systems that run critical applications and data for hedge funds.
