Fis executive vice chairman Lee Kennedy retires

Fis (NYSE:FIS), today announced that Lee A. Kennedy will retire from his roles as executive vice chairman and director of the company, effective immediately, in order to devote more time to outside interests.

Kennedy joined the FIS board in February 2006 and also served as FIS' president and chief executive officer until the acquisition of Metavante Technologies, Inc. on October 1, 2009.

"On behalf of the board of directors, management team and employees, I would like to thank Lee for the dedication and leadership he has provided since joining FIS," stated William P. Foley II, executive chairman of FIS.

Kennedy added, "It has been a privilege to work with the highly talented board members, management team and employees of FIS. The new leadership team is off to a strong start, and I have great confidence in the future of this company."
