FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) is proud to announce that Zoltan Feledy of State Street Global Advisors has been elected as Co-Chair of the FPL Asia Pacific Regional Committee.
In this position, Mr. Feledy will work closely with Co-Chair Chris Jenkins of Tora and lead the effort to pro-actively raise awareness of the benefits that the FIX Protocol, as an enabler for increased electronic trading practices, offers to the Asian markets.
As a buy-side trader on the State Street Global Advisors trading desk in Hong Kong, Mr. Feledy is responsible for ensuring best execution is achieved in Asia's emerging markets. Prior to his current role he managed the company's FIX connectivity globally and implemented several technology initiatives in the Americas, Europe and Asia to improve the firm's electronic trading capabilities. Mr. Feledy has actively contributed to the work of the FPL Asia Pacific Regional Committee over recent years, and was previously a member of the FPL Algorithmic Trading Working Group's technical subcommittee.
Commenting on his recent election, Mr. Feledy stated, "As an emerging markets trader, I am keenly aware of the benefits that increased use of the FIX Protocol family of standards could contribute to electronic trading in Asia by increasing efficiency, reducing error rates, and thereby providing significant cost savings, especially for the region's emerging markets. There are a number of important initiatives under way locally that I hope to contribute to, including the newly formed Asia Pacific Buy-side Working Group."
Chris Jenkins, Co-Chair of the FPL Asia Pacific Regional Committee and Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region at Tora, commented "I am delighted that Zoltan has been elected to this position, and feel his knowledge and experience offers significant benefit to the committee. I would also like to thank his predecessor, George Molina of Franklin Templeton Investments. George's dedication and service as Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Regional Committee has been greatly appreciated and I know that the group will continue to benefit from his participation."
